IOANNIS PRODOMOS / ST JOHN DAMIALIS CHURCH AND CAVE, KISSAMOS

This tiny little church built into the rocks is really worth stopping off to have a look at if you are passing by on your way to or from Falasarna or Balos Bay.

It is one of the best rock cave churches we’ve seen, and if you look to the right past the church there is a low tunnel underneath the road which leads to a stunning beach, Damialis Beach.

It’s lovely to sit on the rocks and take in the peace and quiet or maybe go for a swim. Someone has fitted a small outdoor shower to the wall so you can clean off before leaving.
