Cream Tea for Two with Bubbles
For my birthday treat my lovely daughters in Australia decided that as I couldn’t go out to enjoy a cream tea they would have it delivered to me.
Thanks to the internet, they found a small tea room which is part of a farm complex of accommodation and tea room called Apple Tree Farm in Clifton upon Teme who, since lockdown, have started offering afternoon tea delivery service. The very nice lady liaised with my OH on behalf of the girls for it to be delivered on the afternoon before my birthday.
It was delivered in a plastic crate, which held everything one would need for a tea for two.
There were some dainty cups, saucers and plates, with a matching tea pot and milk jug and of course a little cake stand, silver cutlery and a selection of assorted posh tea bags (not forgetting the prosecco)
Inside the boxes were little parcels of sarnies all wrapped up in pretty ribbon and a large selection of cakes.
I put out a nice table cloth, added a vase of flowers then placed the pretty crockery on the table and filled up the cake stand.
I didn’t actually bother with the tea (as I’m not a tea drinker) so opted for fizz instead. Only now I look at the photo I realised I opened the wrong bottle and we drank one which had been sent to me by my friend. It’s all bubbles to me!
It was a lovely treat. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you girls xx
